How many people can be on a Team?
We recommend teams of 2-6 people. Larger groups may split into multiple teams.
Can I register as a solo participant?
Yes, you are welcome to participate as a solo team. We do not assign players to teams, but you are welcome to play by yourself or ask other teams to join up at the start.
What do I need to bring and wear?
We provide all the materials (including pens). We recommend bringing a water bottle and wearing comfortable clothes suitable for the weather. The hunt does involve walking around 1.5 miles so comfortable shoes are a must!
Can I bring my dog?
Yes! All of our hunts take place outside and dogs are welcome to join the team. Be aware that we use various businesses as start/end locations that may have certain pet restrictions for their indoor space.
Are the hunt routes accessible for wheelchairs?
Our hunts take place on town and city sidewalks. The vast majority of the hunt footprints are accessible for wheelchairs, but there may be certain areas that are difficult.
How much walking is involved?
Each hunt map is different, but they all involve walking between 1-2 miles to find all of the clues. Most of the hunt footprints are in relatively flat areas.
What happens if it rains?
We run public hunts rain or shine, but may cancel ahead of the hunt if the forecast looks dangerous. Full refunds are provided if a cancellation occurs. We do not operate the hunt if lightning is in the area.
How difficult are the puzzles and Clues?
We design the hunts to be challenging, but fun for everyone. We also provide text hints upon request to teams throughout the event.
